I have a 2001 Saab 9-3 Turbo 2.0L that needs another engine. My warranty paid for the last one. But my mechanic got it from a junk yard and that warranty on it is only good for so long. The repairs are going to cost me too much. Everything else is in perfect condition. Just not the engine. Any ideas on what to do?

It's a 1993 Sundance Duster, 3.0l V6, 4spd auto, I believe it's the A670, anyway, when put into any gear, it doesn't move unless you rev the engine up alot, then it clunks into gear as it idles down and whines pretty loud. It has fluid in it, I haven't changed it since I bought it a few months ago. I know about not using Dexron and all that. It doesn't leak any fluid. Is the ****** shot? If it is, and I can find one at a junk yard with low miles on it, what other vehicles used that ******? Could I use, say an A670 out of a Caravan? Any help in diagnosing the problem and help on the interchange would be great.
